wondering about long term use of cortisone ointment for hemorrhoids ,is it safe?

I’ve been using it for 3 or 4 day treatments once every couple of months.Doctor gave me some repeats& it works very well but every once in a while it comes back.so I’m wondering if long term use will cause other problems.

No topical treatment should cause you no harm at all especially for 3-4 days once every few months, even if it was more often than that. The fact that the treatment is working means that your body needs the extra steroid at that particular time and you are doing yourself a favor by using it. It’s completely safe.
you know is use to use all the creams and ointments and wipes and then a co worker told about some herbs she used that got rid of her hemorrhoids and i said why not i’ve spent a fortune on creams and wipes why not give it a try so i ordered a bottle online and no more than 20 days later the hemorrhoids were gone and so far have never come back
so my suggestion go with the herbs
