Hemorrhoids Symptoms, Causes, Cure & Treatments
There are two basic types. External hemorrhoids form when the walls of the veins that service the area around the anus weaken, forming a bulge that pushes out. Although there are many factors believed to contribute to their formation, no absolute correlation has been shown from any given factor. Sometimes they form, seemingly without any obvious cause, and sometimes, people that have many of the factors present thought to contribute to them, have no incidence of them.
Internal hemorrhoids are quite different from external ones. They are composed of a mass of tissue, itself composed of blood vessels, connective and muscle tissue. Everyone possesses these tissue masses called anal cushions. These cushions are designed to control the passage of stool and gases when it’s time to have a bowel movement. When these anal cushions experience tissue damage, they begin to enlarge and the veins within them become convoluted. Again, researchers do not fully understand what triggers this damage. People that have many factors associated with hemorrhoids may not develop them and vice versa.
Although exact triggers are not known, many factors are known to be statistically associated with their development. Examples include low fiber diets, low fluid intake, lack of exercise, pregnancy, straining during defecation, lifting of heavy objects, aging, alcohol intake, liver diseases, and irreglar bowel habits to name a few.
As far as solutions, there are many. For the absolute worse cases, surgery may be warranted. Over fifteen different procedures exists to handle these cases. For the vast majority of cases, a combination of reducing the known factors along with the use of supportive compounds as well as conservative treatments such as heat and cold therapy are known to work.
Doing nothing is not an option long term. Hemorrhoids are essentially damaged tissue, meaning that the body will attempt to instigate repair to the tissue. In most other parts of the body, this mostly works, as with a cut on the skin. However, because this tissue is repeatedly impacted by the passage of stool, the already damaged tissue is constantly dealt a setback. It’s a tug of war between repair and continuing damage. For this reason the condition tends to be chronic.
Your best bet is to educate yourself about the condition, learn about the factors associated with it and what treatment options are available to you to handle it in the future.
Enlarged veins around the anal sphincter caused by excessive straining to push out hard bowel movements. You know how bodybuidlers get big veins from working out and straining with heavy weight? Similiar thing happens to the sphincter since it too is a muscle. A diet with adaquate fiber, hydration and some exercise with keep thing running smoothly.
hemorrhoids are veins in or next to the anus that get swollen and irritated for a variety of reasons. i have internal hems’. if you,re constantly bleeding and/or getting irritating discharge; you need to see a surgeon that does hems’ repair. i did this. best move i made for relief.
Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins around the anus or in the lower rectum. The rectum is the last part of the large intestine leading to the anus. The anus is the opening at the end of the digestive tract where bowel contents leave the body.
External hemorrhoids are located under the skin around the anus. Internal hemorrhoids develop in the lower rectum. Internal hemorrhoids may protrude, or prolapse, through the anus. Most prolapsed hemorrhoids shrink back inside the rectum on their own. Severely prolapsed hemorrhoids may protrude permanently and require treatment
The most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids is bright red blood on stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl after a bowel movement. Internal hemorrhoids that are not prolapsed are usually not painful. Prolapsed hemorrhoids often cause pain, discomfort, and anal itching.
Blood clots may form in external hemorrhoids. A blood clot in a vein is called a thrombosis. Thrombosed external hemorrhoids cause bleeding, painful swelling, or a hard lump around the anus. When the blood clot dissolves, extra skin is left behind. This skin can become irritated or itch.
Excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may make symptoms, such as itching and irritation, worse.
Hemorrhoids are not dangerous or life threatening. Symptoms usually go away within a few days, and some people with hemorrhoids never have symptoms
About 75 percent of people will have hemorrhoids at some point in their lives.1 Hemorrhoids are most common among adults ages 45 to 65.2 Hemorrhoids are also common in pregnant wom
Swelling in the anal or rectal veins causes hemorrhoids. Several factors may cause this swelling, including
* chronic constipation or diarrhea
* straining during bowel movements
* sitting on the toilet for long periods of time
* a lack of fiber in the diet
Another cause of hemorrhoids is the weakening of the connective tissue in the rectum and anus that occurs with age.
Pregnancy can cause hemorrhoids by increasing pressure in the abdomen, which may enlarge the veins in the lower rectum and anus. For most women, hemorrhoids caused by pregnancy disappear after child

causes?
- Take a wrong position in the toilet seat is one of the main causes of hemorrhoids.
- Constipation is another cause of hemorrhoids. Difficulty having hard stools puts too much pressure on the rectum and swells the veins (like varicose veins behind the knees).
- Wiping too hard or too long may cause or aggravate hemorrhoids
- Other important causes of hemorrhoids are pregnancy
- Heavy lifting straining can cause hemorrhoids to show themselves and can possibly cause hemorrhoids to develop.
- Liver disease can also cause increased pressure in the veins, blood pooled in and around the pelvic system
- If you are overweight, you raise your excess weight when standing or walking or running
- Another factor to consider is the heritage
- Anal sex is another cause of hemorrhoids

solutions ?
Some simple treatments for hemorrhoids in patients with diabetes are as follows:
Eat fiber-rich foods such as bran, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Avoid straining during defecation or sitting on the toilet for a long period of time. In general, do not sit for long periods of time. Ice packs may reduce swelling.
