What is a home remedy for hemorrhoids?

Damn, I am in more pain than a backdoor virgin in prison. Please offer suggestions. Anusol does not work. I need home remedies.

Stone root aka Collinsonia. You can sometimes find liquid extract or capsules at health food stores. Take 3x daily until symptoms subside, then once daily. Or use the cut root, 1 teaspoon per cup and simmer for 10 minutes, let sit for 5, strain and drink 3x daily. I know some truck drivers who "swear by it."
Any roughage. like Porridge or wheatabix. Muesli. Any type of bran flakes. These worked for me.
You have to take warm baths (either tub or sitz bath); something soothing about the water. Get yourself some moist cleansing pads (like prep H pads) that contain witch hazel to gently use after bm’s. Also, you might have a fissure and not hemorrhoid. If after a week you still have pain, go see a dr. or to er where you can get pain med and relief.
