what do i do if ive had piled hemorrhoids for 8 years?

i went to the doctor about it but she wasnt interested, didnt examine me & asked if the blood was fresh. when i said yes she told me to use cream. Its been going on for 8 years now & when i open my bowels it can be really painful. im worried that if i go back to my new doctor their attitude will be the same

You poor thing!! I can’t BELIEVE your doctor has fobbed you off!! That is disgusting!! I am so mad!! And she didn’t even have a look at them?! Unbelievable!!! First of all, the cream isn’t always the answer so I don’t know what kind of doctor she is or where she got her license from…you need to go to another doctor – today or tomorrow at the latest and get these hemorrhoids looked at properly. Eight years is a long time to put up with it, infact it is way too long and I just HOPE you don’t need the surgery to remove them because your doctor has ignored the problem. Go to another doctor today. And good luck

u should go to the dr. the problem should be removed totally otherwise it can be more worse

I fully agree with Monika: don’t ever go back to a person that pretends to be a doctor but doesn’t take you seriously. Lots of people feel to embarrassed to see a doctor in the first place to have their piles examined, so it’s utterly disgusting the way you are treated.
Before even thinking about surgery, do know that in most circumstances a change in lifestyle can reduce painful hemorrhoids big time.
Since you talk about painful stools, try to have your stools as soft as possible. In most cases this means you have to drink more fluids and eat more fiber. You can combine both making your own delicious fresh fruit smoothies
Did you ever try a sitz bath: a plastic thingy that you can put on your toilet, fill with water and sit in it, they come in all forms of sophistication to add to your sitting comfort. Or fill your tub with just enough warm (not hot, you don’t want to burn yourself!) water to cover the anal area and soak in it for about 15 minutes at a time. Add more warm water when needed.
Never sit nor stand for too long: if you are seated for 1 hour, do stand up and walk around for 5 minutes.
Your doctor should also be more specific which cream to use. Since you are bleeding, it could be advised against using a cream containing cortisone. Again, this is something a good doctor should tell you in stead of reading it on the Internet!
Main thing is: find a doctor that listens to you, makes time for you and is interested in you as a person in stead of " does it bleed, then use a cream ".
