is it possible to get hemorrhoids from strainning while giving birth.

No. Hemorrhoids are caused by constipation. It’s when your stools are hard and you have to strain to go, and it hurts to go.
You need to take a stool softener every day. Generic ducosate sodium 100Mg’s will soften your stools. You can take 2 every day. They are completely safe. You can talk to the pharmacist if you have any doubts.
You should start taking Metamucil or Citrucel 1-3 times a day. Eat lots of fruits and veggies, and EXERCISE!! 25 minutes of cardio 5-6 times a week. Brisk walking, dancing, running, treadmill, bike, anything that you can do without stopping for 25 minutes or longer without stopping. (Work gradually up to 25 minutes.)
Eat lots of fiber (in cereals, bread, read labels!) and drink lots of WATER. Try to cut out soda pop, sugar, and white flour.
If you do have a hemmorhoid, you need to see your doctor. It will not go away by itself. The doc will give you suppositores and have you sit in a tub of hot water. But then you need to prevent more! Keep a laxative in the house, just for emergencies. Something like Dulcolax is gentle and works overnight.
Then do everything I told you and constipation will no longer be a problem!
They’re a form of Inflammation… -that can come & go… & that some people seems to be predisposed towards… I had them when I was a kid… -But WHY I had them, & WHY they went away eventually- I never figured out… They’re NOT uncommon during Pregnancy, & the "Suspect" THERE- may be on account of hormonal changes. THOSE usually go away- after the Pregnancy. I don’t believe Birth Straining in any way promotes them…
There are so many causes of hemorrhoids, such as:
1. Increased straining from constipation or diarrhea are common causes of hemorrhoids as well.
2. Age and the related loss of tissue elasticity are also common causes of hemorrhoids in older people.
3. Common causes of constipation are a low-fiber diet, insufficient water.
4. Excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption can also cause hemorrhoids.

Yes, the straining (pushing) causes too much pressure on the area which causes hemorrhoids. Constipation does the same thing.

Hemorrhoids occur when veins in the lower body (specifically around the rectum) cannot withstand the blood pressure placed on them. During labor, huge pressure is placed on these veins, so yes, you can definitely get hemorrhoids while giving birth (or throughout pregnancy).

Absolutely! Many pregnant women get hemorrhoids. During the pregnancy they get develop external thromobsed hems from all the pressure. The force of pushing the baby out puts strain on the whole area down there. I use to work with Perinatologist (high risk pregnancy doctors) and it was not uncommon for our patients to develop hems both during pregnancy and after child birth.
