What causes and treats anal itching?

Starting the day before yesterday I began having a lot of anal itching. I think it’s an allergic reaction to the type of lubricant I am using with my significant other. Does anyone know any home remedies for anal itching I have already tried baby diaper ointment and hemorrhoid cream?

The are some mild cortsione creams that can be used for babies with skin conditions. They should help your itchy butt hole too. Be careful with lubes, I’ve always found that good old KY is the best in the end.
Parasites? I know that pinworms (a common intestinal parasite) can lay eggs at night (which causes anal itching). You can either go to the doctor or get Reese’s Pinworm medicine OTC at the drugstore.
If it is an allergic reaction, you could put Benadryl topical spray (also OTC) on it and discontinue the lubricant.
