Need help please! 4 day constipation causing hemorrhoid! Please help?
I’m 22 year old female.
The other day i noticed I had a small external hemorrhoid. I haven’t been able to have a bowel movement in 4 days now. I feel the urge too, and I also know that the stool is hard. I thought the hemorrhoid is what is causing my constipation but I now think it’s the other way around. The pressure is what is causing it I believe. I’ve took some stool softeners 30 minutes ago hoping that this will soften the stool so I can go and see if the hemorrhoid goes away. I even bought some laxatives as a last resort. Does anyone know anything else I can do to get a bowel movement.
Will the stool softener soften the stool that’s already hard? I hope to God it will, because I don’t think I can get it out unless it does.

You need to drink some Miralax. It’s a non-addictive laxative that can now be purchased without a prescription. You drink 17 grams (which is measured in the cap) in some juice or water. It’s odorless and tasteless and dissolves quickly. Both of my children have had terrible constipation. My son has outgrown it, but my daughter still has to drink "special juice" with Miralax in it at least twice per week. It has been a miracle for us (we used to have to do enemas) and I swear by the stuff! It may take a couple of days to work…but it will. I’m a nurse and sometimes doctors order Miralax to be taken twice per day in those with severe constipation. You may still need to use an enema if the stool is really large/hard. Good luck!
Hemorrhoid is not causing constipation, it is constipation that is causing the hemorrhoid.
Constipation is in most cases caused by bad diet. A healthy diet according to nutritionist is based on 80% alkaline foods, and 20% acid foods – see link below for a list of them.
Avoid soda, coffee, black tea, alcohol, bier. Drink water – cool, refreshing water with a good pH between 7.5 – 7.9.
Natural juices are helping for good digestion. One of the best and fast working is juice of prune – cook the prunes, if they are with seeds remove the seeds, crash the prunes in food processor, add water from cooking and drink at least 5 glasses of the juice a day.
You can take a stool softener for the first bowel movement, but it is always better to have the proper digestion regulated by a proper diet.
As for the hemorrhoid treatment, try Rue Care Oil – the sooner you treat it the better it is.
