It seems my hubby is getting hemorrhoids (Maybe he’s getting them for me so I don’t have to have them lol) and he has a really nasty one is there a way to help it? We don’t have any creams or anything just standard kitchen items.
He wants to know if popping it will make it feel any better?

* Fresh lime juice and olive oil. Mix equal two teaspoons of each and apply on effected area or else use a clean applicator which can be inserted. You should feel a difference in pain after the first use and it is reported that regular use may help eliminate hemorrhoids.
* Mix one teaspoon fresh mint leaves juice with one teaspoon of lemon juice & one tablespoon of honey. Take three times a day for relief.
* Boil a mashed ripe banana in one teacup milk & take two to three times a day.
* Apply a crushed onion, which has been skinned and roasted, to dry and bleeding piles.
* Liquid Blistex. It’s much more soothing & doesn’t feel greasy (it feels like it is burning for the first few seconds but then feel soothing & relaxing/ Works much faster than Preparation-H and doesn’t have the awful embarrassing smell.
* Dried Figs. Wash two to three dried figs very well & soak in a glass of cold water overnight. Have it first thing in the morning. Similarly have figs in the evening that have been soaked in the morning. Have them for two to three weeks for good results. It is effective treatment for ordinary piles as well as bleeding piles.
* Vitamin B6 tablets. This remedy works after just a day or two if your hemorrhoids come from a deficiency of this vitamin, which is often true
* Red tomato. Slice a red tomato and place on hemorrhoids for about one hour. Repeat for several days as needed.
* Vitamin E oil. Apply Vitamin E oil to affected area as often as needed for relief in as little as one day.
* Witch Hazel cream. The tannins in witch hazel tighten the weak veins that trigger painful hemorrhoids. Apply witch hazel cream (be sure to buy the cream and not the clear liquid) three times daily.
Do not try to pop it. This will make it much worse. Try (3) twenty minute hot water soaks a day- as hot as he can stand it. He should increase his fiber intake, too. Keep the area dry and wear cotton underwear, not tight. Also try not to sit for long periods of time.
Hi,
You didn’t mention if they were painful for your hubby if so he should start taking sitz baths.
Sitz baths are best for cleansing the area while cool sitz baths help to ease swelling and can even help with constipation. A simple trick is to add salt, or baking soda to the water and allow yourself to soak in the water, this trick works to clean the affected area as well as relieving pain.
Don’t add soap to the water as this can be irritating if you have any type of anal infection or irritation, afterwards dry the affected area with a soft towel.
Do not use HOT water as this will have exactly the opposite effect of what you want. Sitz bath is a form of bathing where the bottom and hips are immersed in warm or cold water for a period of time, 15 – 20 minutes is ideal.
Secondly you should both be eating once ounce of fiber per day as well as drinking 2.6-3.6 pints of water/fluid per day (not beer)
The next best free thing is exercise no groaning, try taking two 30 minute walks per day.
One of the big problems with over the counter stuff for the drug store is they are short term solutions to your problem and the hemorrhoids will usually come back. The reason why they come back is with creams you only treat the hemorrhoid itself and not the cause of the hemorrhoid.
So logically if you do not treat the cause of them they will come back again. As for popping them no I would not recommend it.

Hi you can try to use cranberry poultice for relief of hemorrhoids within an hour, here what you can Do:
* Blend 3-4 tablespoons of raw cranberries
* Wrap a tablespoon of this blend or so in some cheesecloth
* Push it up against your anus and keep it there with some tight underwear.
* After an hour or so replace it with a new batch of berries and cloth.
Geranium-Lavender essential oil mixture
Combine 2-3 drops of lavender to one or two drops of Geranium with one ounce of almond oil. Place this combination in a dark brown bottle with a dropper top. After shaking this combination, use a few drops on your fingers and apply it directly on the skin surrounding your anus.
