The pain is so excrutiating and terrifying. Its unlike anything I’ve ever imagined. I feel like I can go sometimes but when I try I feel like I am going to pass out from agony. What can I do to try to reduce this pain? My doctor is not giving me anything to help and the pain meds dont cut it.
P.S. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROCEDURE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO ANYONE!!!

I agree and sympathize with you. You should read your post op instructions. You are supposed to be drinking a lot of water and eating only foods that will give you a soft stool until it heals. Glycerine suppositories might help, but only if directed as part of your post surgical care.
I think You need to see another doctor concerning this. If the meds are not working. There might be some sort of menthol cream to help ease the pain
Your doctor should have given you a stool softener. I don’t think you should have been released until you had passed a stool – maybe things are different now. My brother had this surgery when he was 19 years old. That surgery was so awful (but necessary) that he NEVER misses having a bowel movement. Call your doctor, there must be a mild laxative he can give you and a pain medication for the pain.
