How to rid a hemorrhoid?

I have a grape sized hemorrhoid and it hurts all the time slightly, considering that I am going on vacation in a few days. What should I buy and do to ease the pain and get rid of it. It was caused by constipation and since that is all done with, I have to deal with the after effect.
What products should I consider??
For the people who have experienced this before what product works the best, is the Preparation H Cream a good choice?

Instead of Preparation H which only works sometimes, you need to get yourself those "Tucks Pads" You can take them on vacation with you and usually after 1 or 2 days your pain should subside. I would also recommend that you fold the Tucks Pad in half and place it on the affected area and keep it there for the rest of the day. It will feel weird yet cooling at the same time, but it works. You could try Preparation H for short term relief but it’s not going to solve your hemorrhoid.
