How old are people typically when they get hemorrhoids?

I have just recently discovered a hemorrhoid and I am an 18 year old female that bathes regularly, do not engage in anal sex and never have constipation problems that would cause me to strain. The only thing recently that I can think of that might have caused it was from being sick but that sickness only lasted less than 24 hours. What is the most likely cause for this hemorrhoid then? And how long will it probably be there?

It is bogus when people say only old people get hemorrhoids, I have had them since I was 18 as well. Things you have to know about hemorrhoids, they can be present in a small form and you won’t even feel them until one day they pop out because of a small strain and causes problem. If it is not bleeding, then try to drink alot of water , and I mean.. ALOT like a gallon if you can. Alot of salads, and fruits. Everyday for like a week, if not for the rest of your life since it’s better to create a good habit of eating healthy.
