How do you cure a bad case of Hemorrhoids?

My doc is on vacation, and I’m suffering. Help me out man. I’m in pain and nothing is working. I tried pain killers and creams, and it’s not working. What do I need?
This is a serious question, so I need serious answers.

For one, don’t be embarrassed. One in three adults have hemorrhoids, so it’s not uncommon.
For immediate relief, try soaking in a tub of hot water, or applying a cold wet wash cloth to the area. This helps to calm it down a bit.
As for the creams- they are intended to provide a small amount of relief, but are usually used for minor to moderate cases (i.e. periodic sufferers) and may not work for you, although I’ve had clinical patients swear by the Tucks and Preparation H Pads…
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the only true cure for your annoying and rather painful problem is surgery. Hemorrhoids, as I’m sure you know, are nothing more than bulging blood vessels that can sometime become irritated, burst, or get caught in the outer anal cavity, where irritation (and in some cases, infection) is almost a definate.
Some tips on preventing (and preventing them from getting worse):
1. Drink plenty of water. The number one cause of hemorrhoids is straining of the bowel, usually due to constipation. (lovely) Drinking plenty of water (realistically, around six glasses a day) will certainly improve things.
2. Get your fiber! I wouldn’t tell you to chug powder supplements (i.e. Metamucil, Benefiber), as, even though they claim to be tasteless, they lie. As it would take you eating high fiber foods non-stop all day to get the 100% RDA of fiber, I would suggest incorperating foods that are high in fiber (yogurt, certain cereals- especially bran, leafy and/or green veggies, etc.) into your diet by replacing their less-enriched alternatives.
3. Get plenty of B vitamins. B vitamins are known to aid in digestion, and multi-vitamins are always a good line of defense against things like this.
4. Excercise. Yes, I know, like you really need another excuse (or another fitness freak preaching to you…) Excercise (and proper diet) helps maintain a healthy digestive tract, and keeps everything moving at a steady pace.
5. Easy on the TP. Toilet paper (yes, even the quilty soft kind) is rather harsh on your area. (remember- the lining of the anus is very thin and easily torn and irritated.) Excessive wiping with such a product can irritate, chafe, and even tear the lining of your bottom. Try using baby wipes (unscented).
Also, make sure to have your regular colon exams! Studies have been done that indicate that people, especially men in their mid-40’s onward, that have or have had moderate to severe hemorrhoids that have plagued their lives will be at a higher risk for pylops and colon cancer.

The simplest way is to push them back using your finger 3 times a day. It seems weird but it works. Good results after a couple of months. Avoid spicy food in the meanwhile, eat fruit and vegetables and drink a lot of water.

See a different doctor. You probably need them to be tied off.
Supposedly raw potatoe stuck in your little anus…they say lemons too but hummmm I wouldnt do it myself. Poor you that is so painful. Prep H isnt working? Get them removed surgically things will only get worse.
you could try a really hot bath, as hot as you can stand an puss them back up..
Preparation H is the cream to use but other than that you might have to have them strangulated in hospital if they are really serious..
If ur Doc is on Vacation, see another Physician. If they are THIS bad, and have used Preparation H- and the Preparatoin H Pads, etc. More than likely you seriously may need to have surgery. It is such a pain in the azz, huh? I feel pity for you. Hope this helped. Try 2 have a good day!
take a long warm bath it will help with the swelling. oh, and take the day off work
Take a sitz bath, where you soak your butt in warm water. Try preparation H that should help. Also you can always call a pharmacist they can also give you the right advice.
i know how you feel. i had them yesterday, luckily i used alot of cream and they went. they’re painful arent they when you walk or sit?
There are different types of hemorrhoids, types that stick out and stay there, some that you can push back in and some you cant.
best thing to do is use hemorrhoid cream, put loads on and let the cream work. i know its painful and uncomfortable but you have to bear with it for a bit. If nothing else happens after a day or 3, see the nurse or a different doctor.
Take a cold foot-bath, and a cold hip-bath three times a day.
The pest will vanish in less than a week.
