Hemorrhoids/Anal Fissure–Type of specialist?
I recently had a baby and five weeks later and having extreme anal pain. My ob/gym didn’t see anything on an external exam, but I am in terrible pain around the clock for the last three days, bleeding with bowel movements and crazy itching that doesn’t go away and having hot flashes, etc. What kind of specialist do I make an appointment with? Any tips on resolutions?

haemmoroids are evagination of rectal mucosa out very painful and sometimes may bleed , they may be reduced manually or cant be reduced …depending which degree they are , usually they are at 3 , 7 , and 11 position .
anal fissure or medical term fissure in ano means a channel or route which is out side the anal openind , feaces may come out of those fissures , some times they present as very painful swellings which look on external examination as abscess but when they are incised , blood and anal content along with pus can be seen comind out …so if you suspect anything like that only a general surgeon can help you … ..
Hemorrhoids are attended by a doctor known as a ‘proctologist’.
