Best treatment? I have had them for about a year and they won’t go away. I have moderate bleeding, and tried using preparation H wipes but they stop for a bit and then return. I don’t have insurance so the doctor is out of the question. Any suggestions?

They won’t go away until you change your dietary habits. You are not eating enough fruit and veggies, or whole grains- so your diet lacks fiber and bulk to move stool along. As a result you get constipated and strain to go. A hemorrhoid is a varicose vein of the colon, and it won’t heal until you correct these matters. Things like Preparation H are just to make things more comfortable, they treat the symptoms- not the disease. If you change your diet and up the fiber intake by eating more whole grains, fruit and veg, and lay off so much of the red meat and white bread, you won’t have to worry about insurance or doctors. Your hemorrhoids can heal themselves, if you simply give your body a break. In the meantime, get some of the Preparation H cream, meant to be inserted, as well as the wipes and some baby wipes. Also a nice big bottle of the fiber mix you put in water and drink. Put the wipes in the fridge to get nice and cold. Have a glass of the fiber drink every morning. Use the internal cream if you have bleeding, and use the wipes to put out the fire. Use baby wipes to clean yourself with, as opposed to toilet paper. That will let things heal, and won’t make sore matters worse. If you do not change your diet, eventually that hemorrhoid is going to dangle out and bleed, and will require surgery to remove. That particular surgery is very painful- you really don’t want to go there. It’s not cheap, and it’s not painless, and it hurts for a fair time afterwards. Eat your veggies and you can avoid it.
I used to have one, its usually down to bad diet, drink more water and eat more fruit – you’ll find its often caused by straining for a sh*t, pregnant women often get them after pushing out the baby. If you eat more fiber your sh*ts will be softer and you want have to strain so much, once you stop straining it’ll start to shrink, if you are constantly putting pressure on it it will keep bleeding and stay swollen.
Oh yeah and then protest the stupid heath care system over there!
Not proper diet is only one of the causes of hemorrhoids. In most cases change of diet is not enough to get rid of hemorrhoids. Try Rue Care Oil – it helped me when other products incl. prep. H failed to deliver results. Regardless of treatment you should also find out what is causing your hemorrhoid – constipation, sitting/standing in the same position for long periods of time, body pH ( acid/alkaline imbalance) fatigue liver, IBS, overweight etc. Treat also the cause of your hemorrhoid
