I had hemorrhoid surgary 2 years ago. I was put to sleep and when i woke up it I was still numb from the wast down. BUt when the meds started to wear off it hurt like HELLLL. Then i was released and went to the pharmacy and got my pain meds I was given Ocecottin and it help some but there was still some pain exspecialy when the meds started to wear off then I had to take anothre one. I was like this for about a week. YOU need to talk to the surgan about what they are going to do. There is a proceder ware they just put something like a ruibber band around the area and thye fall off . GOOD luck ALSO if you have surgary like me I used frozen peas and sat on them after it help releave some of the pain but BOY my ass sure got cold IT depends on the surgary.
