Hi,I am a 24year old male.I have been having some constipation/diarrhea problems so my doctor recommended to have a colonoscopy.I had it done yesterday at 10a.m and the procedure went well. The doctor found one hemorrhoid and that’s all.Now I feel very bloated and have abdominal pain. It feels like gas.I also had blood and mucus in my stool.I called him and he said it was because the hemorrhoid got irritated. Any advice on the gas problem.It feels like it rumbling in there but nothing but mucus comes out when I try to let it out.The pain has gotten a little better from yesterday but still in discomfort.THANK YOU

A while back, I started getting really bad stomach problems. My stomach would hurt all the time and I would have blood in my stool often. Also would have several bowel movements a day. I also started getting really bad joint pain but I don’t know if that’s related or not. I went to the doctor and was told that I have hemorrhoids which were causing the blood in the stool, but didn’t explain anything else. I was prescribed a suppository and also started taking fiber, which has helped the blood in stool. But it seems like my stomach issues are getting worse. No matter what I eat, my stomach hurts afterward. I often have loose stools and my stomach makes really really loud noises for seemingly no reason. A few times it has randomly started pulsating. I thought it was normal until my friend saw how pronounced the pulsing was and she was like "no that’s not normal." So, what is this? I’m so confused.
Also I often get hiccups throughout the day, independent of whether or not I just ate. This has gone on for a while, I’m thinking maybe acid reflux? but idk about the stomach stuff.

So I am 20 years old, and I am having a baby girl. My appointment is tomorrow (Thrusday) and I have three doctors there, one is a female and the other two are males. I never had a male down there before (well a male doctor that is ) so I am a little nervous because I heard they check you to see if you are dilated. (36 weeks pregnant) I have some (eww) hemorrhoids, and I cant see myself to shave anymore, so I am so embarassed to go in tommorrow, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if they were the same way, and what they did to calm the nerves. I know this is silly, but its very unsettling that a doctor will be down there. I know they have seen it all, but I just want some experiences from normal people, thanks!!

Hello. So uh lately I’ve been feeling quite weird. I have noticed that since last summer, there has been a change in my bowel habits. I went from going daily to the restroom, to going only twice or thrice a week, and when I did go it would hurt badly and there would be bright red blood on my stool, and a lot more when I wiped. So I told this to my mom and we went to the doctor and they told me I had hemorrhoids. They gave me some cream, and suppositories and told me to walk 30 minutes daily. At first I didn’t really take it seriously so I didn’t do much of what I was instructed to do and so then 2 weeks later for some reason I got diarrahea which lasted about a week. Then I went back to only going 2/3 times a week. And I now have these deep headaches which only last a minute and then go away for about a day or two and come back. So does this mean I’m sick or is it normal to have this since I have hemorrhoids? Thank you.
I forgot to mention that my body has been feeling achey. For example when I wake up my bones feel achey and when I sit crissed crossed for ten minutes and I unfold my legs, it hurts like they feel sore. It also happend with my arms.

Hi I had an operation yesterday to remove a hemorrhoid or two and now im so sore and in constant pain!

The constant pain I can deal with just but Ive needed to go for a poo for a day and a bit now but I cant because it hurts soooo much!

I mean im at the point of screaming if I just pass wind let alone pass solids!

Ive taken the pain killers antibiotics and stool softeners but they haven’t helped! The pain killers are supposed to be a stronger version of ibuprofen but they seem to do less than normal ibuprofen and paracetamol!

I called the surgery and got a girl on the phone who made it sound like I had inconvenienced her and said theres nothing that will help!

Can you please help me im suffering with pain and I desperately need the toilet but the pain is so Intense it wont allow me do go I just shudder/tense up with pain scream involuntary and feel sick!

But I also need to go for a poo desperately so im caught in the middle if I didn’t need the poo then I can cope with the soreness but I desperately need to go all the time which hurts the area more, but at the same time its the most Intense sharp pain ive ever experience trying to go!

Okay im 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant just to let you know. So this morning i woke up and had really bad stomach cramping and gas pains so i went to the bathroom and a little came out, so i went back to sleep. Well about 3 hours later i woke up and had even worse stomach cramping and gas pains so i went back to the bathroom and there was a regular sized poo in the toilet. Well 20 mins later i had to go again, but nothing really came out, and then i have had to keep going, and have had the urge to go about every 1-5 mins of coming out of the bathroom. After a couple of times I noticed bloody mucusy discharge on the toilet paper, and in the toilet. I poo out some kind of mix between solid blood and poo, and then there are times where there are mooshy poo and there is no blood in that. I called the doctor and she said it sounds like hemorrhoids and that im constipated and thats what the crampy gassy pain is from. I dont know about either cuz i have never experienced constipation or hemorrhoids so im still worried even tho thats what she said it was.

Has anyone ever experienced this or something really similar? And if so how did you deal with the crampy gas pains???

For the past few days, I’ve noticed a little bit of blood in my feces (normal blood colored, I guess) but I don’t think it’s hemorrhoids because it wasn’t painful or itchy. My diet has not changed in any way lately. Also, I’ve been feeling a bit fatigued and nauseous recently.

I don’t think I’ll be able to see the doctor any time soon, and I was just wondering what might be wrong with me. Thanks so much.

I’m looking for a thorough and patient doctor that would be able to help me. I was diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia and my symptoms were the usual pain, headaches, and fatigue. Lately though I’ve been having weird symptoms and I have gone to see the doctors I had urine analysis tests and they have found blood in my urine more than once already 3 times and I wasn’t on my period those times and the all the doctors just said okay maybe it’s just spotting or maybe you’re close to your period and passed it off as not that big of a deal another symptom I have which might seem kind of gross – sorry is when I go to the bathroom to eliminate I bleed. I went to get checked out and the doctor just said it might just be an anal fissure or hemorrhoids and that she’d just give me a cream to use and to use vaseline and there’s nothing else I could do about it but she didn’t take the time to actually examine me or look into it any further. Another symptom that I have is frequent urination which I know happens with fibromyalgia but it’s gotten so bad that it literally disrupts my sleep and I have to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning just to go to the bathroom – I don’t even drink that much fluid and she just told me to not drink anything after supper. I usually like going to her because she’s great with my physical examinations and is thorough but the last time I just felt very rushed. I’d like to find someone who is more thorough and will take the time to examine all my symptoms and put it all together. The reason I’m concerned so much is because I already have an autoimmune disorder. Does anyone know of anyone in Vancouver, Burnaby or New West?

its been about 6 months since ive given birth and it still really hurts to go to the bathroom. I dunno if it’s Hemorrhoids or something but i was just wondering if its normal for it to hurt still or if i should go to a doctor.

I’ve been having muscle "tightness" in my left flank area. I also have increased fat in my stools. I went to the doctor and he said that it was a muscle on that was tight on my side and the increased stools could be due to IBS since I have been under tremendous stress. I do have diarrhea one day and then a couple of days later, I’ll have constipation. Also, I have horrible hemorrhoids. I went to the ER and the doctor there said that they were terrible (I actually have 3 really big ones) and that I needed to see a surgeon. I have low-back tightness and left hip tightness as well. With all that being said, I still have the tight feeling in my left side, not so much the fatty stool but my rectum hurts deep and my hemorrhoids are really bad and I’m constipated. I also notice this groove in my stool that goes the length of my stool. I have convinced myself that I have colon cancer! Im a 35 yo female w/ no family hx. of cancer. My blood work was all negative in May. In the past 2 years, I’ve had 2 abd. ultrasounds and a CT of the abdomen w. contrast which were all unremarkable. No bloody stools but a couple of times did see red blood streaks on toilet paper (from hemorrhoids). Stools are normal size. Am I freaking out over nothing? Could it be levator ani syndrome, possible internal hemorrhoids? Just looking for an answer besides cancer (I’ve been looking on the internet too much)!
