Hi there,
About a year and a half ago, I was experiencing stomach pain and was given a colonoscopy. The doctor took a biopsy, yet everything turned out clean- except hemorrhoids which I knew I had. Recently, about 4 months ago, I noticed that I had a litte growth on my anal canal wall. To describe it, it feels like an internal skin tag and is soft. It is quite small and painless and feels nothing like a hemorrhoid. I became concerned and asked two separate family doctors what they thought. Both said they felt nothing out of the ordinary. Yet last week, I visited a physician’s assistant and was told to see a GI, because she said she felt "something." I am only 21 years old and was interested if this could possibly be cancer? If not, could it be a wart? I had all 3 Gardasil shots so should I rule out genital warts? What could this be? I am scheduled to see my GI next month but in the mean time, I would like to know what it may be?

I thought I had hemorrhoids but seeing as the pain persisted I went to the doctor and he found that I never had hemorrhoids, just an anal fissure. The skin is actually a skin tag.
He gave me xylocaine jelly to apply to the area along with disposable gloves to use when applying it. I think I might run out of gloves soon and I won’t be able to get more until tomorrow.
I was wondering what I could use in replacement of gloves? I feel icky using my bare finger and I’m scared that could transmit more bacteria. I’ve read some people use a q-tip. Is that ok?

I understand that this is most likely an indication of hemorrhoids. I looked them up and I’m almost 100% sure that that is what happened because for the past several days I had been constipated, and when the stool finally passed yesterday, it was very hard and painful. So today I went and found bright red blood on the tissue paper after wiping, and right afterwards I started to experience slight discomfort in the area. If it is hemorrhoids, is it 100% necessary to go to a doctor? I was reading things online that suggested they would go away on their own if I started to eat foods that would keep the stool soft. I’d really rather not visit a doctor over this.

I think I have hemorrhoids. I’ve been constipateed lately and when I clean up I see bright red blood around the stool and on the tolit paper. I’m only 15 years old so I don’t think this is normal. I looked at myself and on one of the corner of my anus I see a little bump. What is this? is there any way i can treat it witout going to the doctor? How long does it take to clear up? Any home remedies or anything to help to clear up? please help…i’m really worried

Hello.
I am 24 years and for the past year or two now I’ve been having on and off discomfort when I poo. I’ve never seen any blood in my stool nor has my poo ever been "pencil" thin, although when I wipe I do sometimes see a bit of blood on the toilet paper. I can also feel a bit of a lump where the opening of my anus is. I recently went to the doctor and he prescribed me some suppositories for hemorrhoids that I am supposed to take for 12 days. I’m on day 6 now I think, and I feel very gassy and I also sometimes feel like I’m constipated. As far as I know, the only person who’s ever had colon cancer was my great grandfather and he got it when he was 90. I’ve been eating a lot of fiber-rich foods and it doesn’t seem to be helping. I can still feel the lump, and i can actually see it (it kind of looks like a purplish-white lump) sometimes right after a bowel movement. The doctor told me it was 99.9% a hemorrhoid, but I’m still a little nervous. I’m on day 6 and I haven’t noticed any dramatic results yet…

How would one treat the itch and pain of both the above all at the same time? Do you think tea tree oil would be ok – could you still use tucks or preparationH or would they just make the herpes worse? Is Hydrocortisone anti itch ok for the sores – (all sores in the same region as the fissure) – Valtrex is being taken now – lastly, what would you recommend to fix the fissure without surgery? Don’t say, "see a doctor" because that will not happen until patient is clear of herpes sores do to the humiliation factor – just looking for possible help until then. Thanks.

A while ago, while i was trying to poop, I only farted. No stool came out. However, when I wiped my ass with a tissue paper, there seem to be traces of blood or mucus (like the one coming out of the nose). I am a little scared, although the last time I checked with a doctor, I had hemorrhoid. So what could be the problem?
Note: In the pastdays/weeks, there was no blood in my stool or when I was wiping my ass. Although I saw a tiny piece of shit that looks like a carrot.
