Hi, I’ve had an ongoing problem with bleeding and IBS for around a year now..last year i had a problem well..where i couldnt go to the bathroom for 15 days..and i was impacted for 15 days until i went to the hospital..they gave me an enema and they gave me a colonoscopy…they said everything was fine..no polyps..no obstructions..no hemorrhoids..no nothing. im only 15 years old….anyways, does anyone think there could still be a problem theyre not seeing? ive had multiple upper GI’s..a colonoscopy..x-rays..you name it..but i still have bleeding problems when i go to the bathroom..my family has had history or irritable bowel syndrome and colon cancer on my moms side of the family..if i need to go into more detail..the bleeding is not in the stool..it is when i wipe, i hate going into detail for total strangers..but im just curious here..

the doctor says i have an anal fissure and hemorrhoids. He’s operating on me tuesday to remove them both(fissurectomy,sphincterotomy, hemorrhoidectomy). they have been hurting me for about 3 months now. i’ve used all types of creams to no avail.i’d like to know about how long it will take me to heal from this type of surgery. thanks so much.

what should or shouldnt eat? and did anyone esle have this done? how much pain were you in?

If I couldn’t afford a doctor due to no insurance, is it safe to pop a thrombosed hemorrhoid so I can get back to work? It seems like that would give instant relief.

I am nine wks preg and have painful hemorrhoid. went to doc this week and he recommended taking proctofoam (which is a prescription that i already had) which i have tried with no relief. have also been using prep h with hydrocortisone 1% and witch hazel pads as well as sitz baths and ice packs. i need help but don’t want to call the doc again. any advise would be appreciated. Also, if i do call the doctor back should i ask for a specific prescription? please if you could recommend any over the counter or prescription meds that have helped you

for about 3 months now i randomly get a dull pain in my lower left abdomen. most of the time it comes with painful bloating (to the point where it hurts to walk/stand up straight. i have also had some bright red blood on the toilet paper after i use the bathroom. my doctor said the blood might be hemorrhoids, but i feel like all of these symptoms might be related?

Five weeks ago I had 2 polyps removed. Since that time I have been having a lot of mucus in my bowel movements. I have never had this problem before in my life. The doctor said I have internal hemorrhoids – could they be causing the mucus? Does the removal of polyps cause it? Could there be an infection where the polyps were removed which might cause the mucus? I’m quite concerned.

So I am 18 and I just got hemorrhoids. They hurt for around two weeks or so. My mom gets them all the time and so did my Grandpa, so it is in my family big time. They didn’t hurt anymore after those two weeks but they are still there in my butthole and it has been a month and two weeks. There is no pain just maybe a little itching at times and sometimes that uncomfortable feeling of just knowing that they are there but nothing serious. I am able to live my life naturally and not worry about them, in fact, I always forget I have them till I go to the bathroom now.

My mom says that once you get them they can heal but sometimes they will just stay there for a long time but not cause pain. Is this normal or no? I always ask to go to a doctor just to get them checked up but she insists I don’t need to and that it’s fine. I am working on my diet and eating a lot of fiber and drinking a lot of water. I cut out fast food and trying to cut down on my soda intake (hard to do!!). Whenever I sit now too, it’s on a nice fluffy pillow except in school. So based on the information I gave you, I’ll ask you again, should I be worrying?
