I have had hemorrhoids for 5 years now, I am now 31. They have never gone away. They used to hurt for an hour or so. Now they throb constantly all day long. I want to take a blowtorch to the hemorrhoids and then die from the resulting shock of pain.

Preparation H does nothing. Suppositories do nothing. Tucks does nothing. Maximum strength everything does nothing. Witch Hazel provides 10 minutes of relief. Stretching, touching toes provides 5 minutes of relief. You name it, it has failed.

The doctor said to eat bananas, rice and apple juice and gave me no additional medicine. Other than some worthless information about sitting in a bath. Something stupid called "sitz bath." What a laughable useless remedy that turned out to be.

Everything having to do with hemorrhoids is a laughable,useless remedy in my case. You must excuse my derisiveness, it comes from years of constant pain.

The only thing I haven’t tried baking soda to dry the evil bastard out, it sounds painful, or like it won’t work.

I did discover that excess caffeine makes it worse and also alcohol. Wow. There goes all of life’s enjoyment. I can’t sit, I can’t stand, I can’t sleep, I can’t do nothing. All I can do is walk. Walk, walk walk. That’s the only safe place. I want to kill hemorrhoids. No, actually I want a painkiller injection or numbing agent.

What idiot who designed the human body put nerves in hemorrhoids.

I first noticed blood in my stool, I informed my mother who replied with, "Oh, it’s nothing. It’s probably internal hemorrhoids, you’ll be fine." After having bloody diarrhea for two weeks without any medical attention, I finally persuaded her to get me into see a doctor. I do not have internal hemorrhoids, but the best thing that I could have is a bacteria infection – the worst could be colon cancer (what my great grandmother died from).

I was put on ciprofloxacin this week, Tuesday to be specific, by my family doctor. On Thursday, I noticed I had developed a rash on my chest that I could not explain – since I’m not allergic to much, nor had I come in contact with anything unusual in my lifestyle, aside the new medication. I looked up ciprofloxacin, and a rash is a serious side effect, according to www.drugs.com that requires medical attention.

I had told my mother I just took my second pill today (my dosage was to take two pills a day) and that the rash was a serious side effect. I asked her what I should do, or if I should call anyone. Like the last time, she said it was nothing.

I do not want to make the same mistake and let this go for two weeks unnoticed. The last thing I want is to put my health is jeopardy.

What can I do?
What should I do?
Is this really nothing, or should I be concerned?

Ok so for the past three days, i have went once a day (to the bathroom) and noticed a tiny (on two occasions) or none (one occasion) bit of blood in the toilet itself, but when i wipe with a tissue it shows a significant amount of blood. I have went to the doctor and he checked for external hemorrhoids, he said there were none, then he told me that 95 percent of cases at my age ( i am 17 ) are internal hemorrhoids in a situation such as this one. He gave me some medicine to take for a week or so. Today i felt some abdominal pain and bloating, i am worried that i am bleeding from the GI tract, can someone please tell me if waiting a week can cause serious damage to my GI tract (if it is not hemorrhoids), and how long i should wait, because i am very worried that i am internally bleeding as we speak and by one weeks time i will suffer from gangrene.

Sorry! forgot to say : It is bright red to darker shade of red blood, and i know that means its from the lower GI, but still, i want to know if waiting a little will cause unrepairable damage…

Right up on the edge of the male anus.

He quickly looked at it and said to buy some cream and apply it.

Know my question is.. how could something like a bubble that is hard can go away with a cream? the bubble looks like gay white kinder thing it is the sizes as your thump nail.

It doesnt hurt and does not irritate even if i was to touch it.. It does irritate if i was to pull the bubble hard and press it.

So is that what a Haemorrhoid is ? it dosnt hurt unless u binch it correct course thats what the doctor said its a haemorrhoid

And apply this cream daily the thing will go away in days…
but how can something like a bubble that feels hard can go away with just applying cream there ?

I hope Haemorrhoid is not dangerious like a CYST, or cancer.

When i touch it it feel like soft and jelly feeling but on a hard skin. The bubble looks gray and white kinder thing..
When i pull it it feels like a nipple and when i pull it and touch it it feels like theres a small hard ball inside the bubble….

So imagine you have a small ball inside a balloon well thats how it is..
So how can a basic cream take that away ? it would take weeks and months not days

i thought this thing u need surgery to take it off…. its not like a simple pimple where a cream in days will be gone… this thing is hard and feels like theres something in the bubble.

Big question too…. What is that strange ball feeling inside the bubble of this haemorrhoid when i touch it.. it doesnt hurt it will if i press hard… and when i press this… inside the bubble feels theres something in it like a ball skin thing whatever it may be.

for almost a year now i have had a strange marble-shapped bump on the rim of my butt hole….i was told it might be a hemorrhoid, but then heard it might be something else. i heard of something (i forget what its called) but its something that fits the discription. whatever its called, its something that is caught from public bathrooms if another with it used the same toilet.

so what id like to find out please is which it might be, and how it can be cured. at home remodeys would be best because its hard for me to get to a doctor, and would love to avoid surgery too.

My husband has hemorrhoids and is really having a rough time with it. He said he’s had them to some extent for a few weeks, he’s not sure how long. But here lately they’ve gotten worse, to the point he has trouble moving without pain and it wakes him up at night. He refuses to go to the doctor right now. He’s afraid of the impact on his career. You can’t have hemorrhoids in his line of work because of the pressures put onto his circulatory system.

I’m heading out right now to get some epsom salts, and he’s been using the pain relieving wipes from prep-h, but I don’t think they’re helping. He’s also been using their cream.

I don’t think he’s constipated, but then again, he’s not very open about these sort of things. I know it has to be really bad for him to come to me for help, I think he’s just embarrassed. I really want him to go to the doc, but he won’t go at this point.

What can I do?

Basically as horrible and nasty as the subject is, I have been having pain in the back passage for about 3-4 months now, on and off, but in the past few weeks sometimes when going to the toilet the pain in unbearable, I haven’t been to the doctor as as immature as it is, I am very embarrassed, I am quite sure it is hemorrhoids (swelling, pain, blood from time to time…) so I was wondering if there is a good cream I could buy over the counter to see if it will tackle the problem? If it doesn’t of course I will go to my doctor, but I would like to try a cream first just in case.

Dear friends, I am getting scared when i surf net when i read about Hemorrhoids and piles because for the past 3 years (i know its too much of time) i am feeling a pulling pain in my anal after bowel movement which is rare and mostly during night between 3-5 am. For the past 3 years only once i saw blood with the stool. I am feeling shy to show to the doctor which i know is not wise (planning to meet doctor soon). How to find out myself whether it is a internal or external hemorrhoid and is it curable and what should i do to avoid any operation. Please don’t send 2 line answer i need in detail. Ok this is gross, but two days ago I had extremely bloody stool (pale and bloody). It was so sickening to see and scared me. I mean there was a lot of blood, not just a little. A LOT. I felt some minor pain in my lower left abdomen all day. It is not an external hemorrhoid, that’s for sure. It could be an internal hemorrhoid; however, I do feel pain in the abdomen and internal hemorrhoids, I read, are painless.

Anyways, I don’t want to go to the doctor. Please DO NOT tell me to see a doctor because I won’t. If it’s just a hemorrhoid, I don’t need a doctor, but if it’s something serious, I won’t be able to handle it so I don’t want to know.

But now I am afraid to go to the bathroom again. Does anyone have any knowledge on the best way for me to manage this on my own?

BTW I am a vegetarian, I always eat lots of veggies and whole grains (fiber) I have been drinking lots of fluids. I have increased my fiber and fluid intake since the episode. Social drinker.
