Pruritis ani, itchy butt often caused by hemorrhoids probably affects half the world’s population to some extent. Has anybody with this condition found a sure fire cure that gets rid of it? It’s excruciating because it is no more thretening to your health than hay fever but is excruciating in its relentless presence 24 hours a day.

I’m a 22 year old female with some stomach problems, and I think strain or something caused a hemorrhoid. I first noticed a bump right on the outside of my anus, and it swelled and got bigger, and now it’s this bluish color. It won’t go away with Preparation H, and I looked up pictures of it on the internet, and it says that it’s something called thromboses hemorrhoid. How do I handle this? Is there anything I can do to make it go away? I’m so embarrassed. Should I call my family doctor, or go to the hospital? Please help.

I am a 29 year old suffering from erectile dysfunction and hemorrhoids who is otherwise healthy. I am lean (with a body mass index in the normal range); I am a vegan; I am very physically active (I play soccer, I run, I ride my bicycle); I have low colesterol; HB below 120/80; normal testosterone levels.
I have never been overweight; I drink alcohol only socially; I smoked socially in the past for a short while; and I never did any drugs.
I have been to many urologists and many other doctors and it only now wandering if there might be some relationship between ED and hemorrhoids. Is so, please explain why that is so! What is the link between the two? Blood vessels, nerves…etc. How could hemorrhoids cause ED?
