I’ve had so much going on these past couple days that I’ve now got an external hemorrhoid. I discovered it last night and overnight it went down in size by about 50% on it’s own. I’ve started doing sitz baths and that’s about it. It isn’t bleeding or anything but it is quite painful.

Anyone have any useful tips maybe some personal experiences with products that will help it go back down? And approximately how long do you think it could take for it to go down?
The weird thing is, it’s really NOT HANGING outside or anything, it’s ON the outside. Is that bad?

I am supposed to be participating in a golf tournament this weekend but I’m concerned that it wouldn’t be good for my swollen external hemorrhoid. It hasn’t swollen up in about 4 years and for some reason it did just the other day. It doesn’t hurt to sit, stand, walk, just uncomfortable. I was wondering if the swinging motion, the little bit of walking on each hole and the repetitive sitting/standing in and out of the golf cart would make it worse.

Also, I don’t recall it being this big last time, then again, it was 4 years ago and I nearly forgot about it. I have been taking tylenol and applying prep H. Is there anything else I can do to help reduce the size of it? There just something creepy about feeling a marble sized lump every time I wipe.

I have recently begun experimenting with anal stimulation on my 19-year-old boyfriend by penetrating his anal cavity with my finger. About 2-3 inches in my finger comes into contact with something small, smooth, kind of pointy-ish, and kind of hard-ish (feels almost similar to cartilage but not quite). I don’t know what this is and I don’t know if it is something normal or something to be concerned about. Because I’ve never really had any experience with anal stimulation before, I’m not really sure what is normal and what isn’t.

My boyfriend has had a history of external hemorrhoids, so could it just be an internal hemorrhoid? How should I go about telling him about this without sounding weird or embarrassing him?

I’m going to be very honest here.

A few days ago I had to squeeze really hard to let one out, maybe a BIT harder than I’ve ever done.

Today I realized that I now have a F*CKING external hemorrhoid. It’s a pink/purple thing coming out of my anus but residing ON the side of my anus ring.

I’m pissed and wanted to know what I could to do make it go away.
guess so. dont want to really tell my parents tho :S

I did about 12 hours of flying on the last of 8 days of travel and suffered some irregularity during those 8 days. The day after returning was spent in the bathroom while my body got rid of everything.

Now I have what appears to be an Thrombosed External Hemorrhoid. (looked it up on the internet)
It is about the size of a blueberry to view with the inside feeling about the size of a pea and very painful.

Is it possible for this to resolve on it’s own or will I need medical intervention? The info I got on the internet did not really cover the healing part except when surgical means were taken.

I have had hemorrhoids since I was in the hospital, a few days after having my baby. I know this is normal, but I can’t get rid of them. They go away for a while, but then they come back. They have just come back again, but for the first time, they are internal instead of external and they are causing extreme pain during and after using the restroom. Does anyone know what the best product or remedy to stop them?

I don’t want to go to the doctor yet. I want to try stuff I can buy at Walgreens/Target. What cream am I meant to get to shrink the hemorrhoid?

I already tried Vaseline and Hydrocortisone cream but they didn’t do much at all.

Hemorrhoids are the most annoying and unpleasant thing I have ever experienced. I have had external hemorrhoids twice before, and internal hemorrhoids once before, I once again have external hemorrhoids. However, I do not have enough money because of a financial crisis my family is going through at the moment to go to a medic and get the prescription for suppositories which work miracles. The only thing I could get without the prescription is the ointment called "Doxiproct" which is great, at the pharmacy they told me that external hems did not need suppositories and it was sufficient just using the ointment. However it’s been 1 week now, and the ointment does help however a day later the hemorrhoids reappear again, or whenever I do to defecate even if I do not use a lot of pressure. So it seems like this ointment is not going to "treat" and take away my hemorrhoids, just minor the symptoms for some time. How ever I do not want to keep going on like this.

Is there anything I can do?

I’m 16 years old and I have external hemorrhoids. I got them from constipation because I don’t eat very well. They don’t ever hurt and are pretty small but I don’t like having them, it looks gross. They aren’t very big, I bought the Preparation H ointment yesterday, does that work well? I didn’t really know what to buy because I don’t need anything for relief as they don’t cause me any discomfort, I want something to shrink them.

Will I need surgery for my hemorrhoids to go away forever? Can they go away on their own if I start eating more fruits and vegetables? If so, how long can it take for them to be gone?

Please help me understand if my dog is experiencing dog hemorrhoids. So a couple of days ago, I had my nearly 5 year old, 6lb chihuahua neutered. I know I waited forever to neuter him but he’s originally a family dog and I had no consent until now. Anyways, after bringing him home, he had the usual complications of a newly neutered dog but recovered just fine. The only thing that bothers me is that he has really limited swelling on his incision area where the suture is, could that be an infection? It’s not red or anything but it is a bit swollen. Also while he was at the vet, he had his temperature checked through his rectum and ever since coming back from the surgery, he hasn’t been pooping and the rectum area is a bit swollen…is that external hemorrhoids or could the swelling be from checking the temperature through the rectum prior to surgery? Please help me understand…I just want my dog to be ok. Today is Sunday and my vets office is closed and I’m worried about my dog. Also if you have any suggestions or homeopathic remedies I can use to reduce the rectal swelling and get him to poop, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I forgot to mention that prior to going to the vet to get him neutered, he didn’t have anal swelling and was pooping just fine. After going to the vet and having them shove a thermometer up his butt, he’s been having these problems. All your help will greatly be appreciated…Thank you.
Yes he has been eating and drinking normally. He dosen’t seem to be upset but he hasn’t pooped so I will call the emergency and get some more advice. Thank you for all your help.
I gave him a tablespoon of plain yogurt and an hour later he finally pooped. I think he’s still uncomfortable because of the swelling and I’ll find out whats wrong when I take him to the vet tomorrow. So plain yogurt works.
