can 16 year olds get hemorrhoids?

i was in the bathroom and noticed i was bleeding pretty intensely and my dad said it was probably a hemorrhoid but i thought only old people get them (im a guy by the way, so no it’s not my period). what exactly is a hemorrhoid and how can i treat it?

Any one can get hemorrhoids. They are enlarged blood vessels. They are the same thing as vericose veins only in a different spot. If you want to treat it then see a doctor.
If you have anal type of infection in that area yes, it doesn’t depend on what age.
Hemorrhoids can affect all age groups, and I would get yours checked out by your doctor.

Hemorrhoids or piles can affect any people at any age.
If you suspect that you are suffering from piles, drink plenty of water and eat healthy, like fruits and vegetable. And oh, remember to exercise the relax your colon too.
