After giving birth did you have a long bad period and hemorrhoids?

I started my period almost 2 weeks ago, and two days ago it started getting really heavy like it was starting all over again and i am having cramps also. This is my first period since giving birth 6 weeks ago. Also I have hemorrhoids, which is extrememly painful. Is that because of giving birth? I fear going to the bathroom. Any tips for that? Anybody go through the same thing after having their baby. I do plan on calling the doctor tomorrow just wondering if anyone else has gone through this.

umm, yes and yes. Try taking stool softeners (docusate sodium) 2 capsules 2x a day, and wipe with those witch hazel pads they gave you in the hospital. Preparation H is also really helpful– use the ointment (Vaseline-based) and use the little syringe to work it up into your rectum. After my son was born, I bled for 4 weeks, the last 2 weeks were off and on, then had my period on the 6th week. I felt like a walking maxipad for a month and a half. You’ll be fine!
yes to both of your questions i bled for 5 weeks after giving birth and the best thing i used for hemorrhoids was preparation H best of luck
