My father ( 49 yrs old) was diagnosed with Hepatitis C at least five years ago, maybe more and also told that his liver was enlarged. He quit drinking about 3 or 4 years ago. He was a very heavy drinker and drug abuser. Last year he had x-rays done that showed that his liver had lesions (about 6?) and that his liver was enlarged ( I have no idea if it was the same as when he was first treated or if the swelling had increased) He seemed to be sorta okay healthwise for the last few years except for chronic hemorrhoids, very dry looking pale skin and excessive lip smacking (don’t know what that is about..) Over the last few weeks he has been extremely fatigued, having sharp pains in his right abdomen every few minutes and last week we noticed that his eyes are VERY yellow..His tongue is very white..Is that a symptom of Hep C or something else? He has some emphysema and I suspect COPD… Is this disease fatal? I mean, I know it can cause liver failure, liver sclerosis, hepatomegaly, etc.. What I dont know is how far advanced his case is. He is not too fond of medical help… I am trying to convince him to see a doctor…. If you have an educated opinion on this disease, please give me some advice/ answers. Is he dying??? If you are going to post things like " make him go to the dr" or " I don’t know" or " any other asinine answer, please kindly refrain. I know that this site is not a panel of experts but I am at a loss until I can convince him to let me get help for him. Thank you in advance for your help.
I forgot to add that he is also vomiting and has diarrhea.
I also forgot to add that he is confused a lot (like he can’t think or his mind is moving slowly) and that his doc said his levels were "elevated" a few years ago.

Help, I am very worried.. I am 34 years old, don’t smoke, don’t drink, I am not obese, I am quite fit.. walks about 3-4 km a day thanks to my work.
I have hemorrhoids for years.. and it stings and bleeds for so many years now. I also have a liquid discharge every now and then, doctor said it was because my anal walls have gotten weak. I also had issues with anal fissure a few years back.
Anyways, last week.. after a bowel movement.. I admit i was a little rough with the tissue paper and I felt my hemorrhoid was open. After a minute.. I noticed I am bleeding from my anus. about a teaspoon which really scared me.. my hemo never made that much blood before.
Anyways, i decided to give myself a rest for 48 hours before i got back to the bathroom.. all seems well for a week. Until today.
I felt the urge to bowel movement.. but what came out was small amounts of blood.. much much lesser than last week.. about 4-5 drops i think. No pain like a tear or fissure on both cases.
The blood color is not bright red.. but I am not sure its dark red either.. just red. Like the red we see in tim burton’s sleepy hollow.. something like that. And there is no stool.. just the bleeding.. The stool I had before don’t have blood on em.. and they are not black or tarry..
This could not have come in a worst time.. I am about to get married in 2 days.. so getting a colonoscopy test or whatever may not be a good time for this week. Can someone please give me some intellegent guess for now so that I can calm down?
I can probably get a check up next week still.. and until then.. i really wish I can get to see a doctor for a quick check up or something..
sigh..

Ok so I went to the bathroom (I’m not going to go into detail) but when I wiped my butt there was a little bit of blood. This is really freaking me out because I do not have my period and I am not pregnant. I thought i might have had hemorrhoids but I don’t believe I do now. I really want to know. It was a kind of painful going to the bathroom and now my rear is kind of sore and hurts a little. The blood was a very little bit of bright red blood. I have never had pain like list before not that it was overly bad. It did not hurt anytime through out the day until I when to the bathroom. What is it? Is it just because I was straining myself on the toilet?

Terrible subject, but the doctor’s office can’t see me until next friday…
Here are my symptoms: A lump on the outside of my anus… pain and discomfort, slight itchiness, red blood when i wipe (but not much).. also for some reason when i wake up every morning i have blood stains on my underwear. Ever since the blood stains started the pain has gone down.
I’m worried it’s cancer, my father and grandfather from my mother’s side had cancer, never colon cancer however. I should mention that the lump came when i held my poop for a little while and then used the restroom. Everything i research points towards hemorrhoid.. minus the large amounts of blood at night.
please don’t suggest to go to a doctor, i’m already waiting on that.
Thanks in advance.
I am a 22-year-old male

Ok ok, this is a rather embarrassing topic.
I have hemorrhoids. I had It for a year, and It bleed only once.(not severely). They only they pop out when I’m pushing bowl moments. My hemorrhoids don’t bother me much, I don’t feel pain much I have a good diet now.
Will My hemorrhoids eventually get worse, even though I’m taking care of it?
Is it something that will constantly grow no matter what? Or would they stay the same?
Can I live the rest of my life with my hemorrhoids condition staying not severe?
Thanks you for your time.

I exercise everyday eat basically only fresh fruits and veggies (barely any carbs), but a few days ago I had a awful stomach flu and since then I got hemorrhoids for the 1st time in my life. I am physically tired right now..but since having them I haven’t been exercising, just taking walks. Why don’t I have any energy?

i have recently let my partner stick it up my butt and maybe we should have used more lubricant or something but i think i got a hemorrhoid. i have legitimate reasons to think this though i don’t feel like listing them all. is this normal for gay men? i have been eating so many iron pills so i don’t get constipated. should i lay off the iron pills? could those do damage? i have gone to my doctor and all he really gave me was this ointment i rub on my butt whole-doesn’t seem to help that much. i want to go back to my doctor and be like can you take a peak and tell me if i have it for sure? would my regular doctor really look inside my butt whole? should i just schedule a colonoscopy? its really hard for me to do that tho cause i still live with my parents and still under their insurance and they dont no i am gay at all. they think i fuck girls.

Hi
Lately after I wipe after defecating, there’s a small amount of blood on the toilet paper and my rear end hurts for about a minute. There’s no visible blood in the stool.
Could this be an internal hemorrhoid or just a scab that’s getting popped?

I had a colonoscopy done because I was feeling nauseous and couldn’t keep my food down. The doctor thought it might be IBS. My insurance company agreed that this was a covered procedure as long as there is no pre-existing condition which there wasn’t. Now they are saying I owe them about 00 because the doctor found hemorrhoids and that is one of the items not covered within the first 6 months of me being insured. My question is, I didn’t go to the doctor because of hemorrhoids (I’m not bleeding or ever had any symptoms), I went because I was sick and couldn’t keep my food down. So how can they be denying the coverage when I didn’t even know that’s what they would find? Shouldn’t they cover you based on the initial visit diagnosis and the reason why you’re having the procedure in the first place? The doctor found internal hemorrhoids which 98% of us have – they’re benign and not a condition. They do nothing. The doctor says that was the diagnosis and the outcome of the procedure so that’s how they report it. The insurance company says, sorry, we told you hemorrhoids weren’t covered. And I’m wondering how it is that I went in for a supposed covered procedure because I was just sick in my stomach and came out owing almost 8K. Anyone ever heard of this?!?! I’m very concerned…
