I have been suffering from external hemorrhoids for a few years but now every time I go to the bathroom, I notice a large bump that swells up and then goes away after a few hours or so. What could this be and should I go to the doc.

I am taking her to the vet on Thursday since I have the whole day off then, so i don’t need you to tell me she has to go to the vet, I know that much!! But what happened is that she had runny stool twice inside the house while i was at work, i cleaned it up and there was no blood or worms in the stool. But when we started to walk i noticed that there was a small amount of blood around her rectum. the blood was not in her stool when she went outside either, so i don’t think it is bleeding from the inside. I came in and wiped her off with a cotton ball and some water, and i could not tell where the bleeding is coming from, it looks like maybe from just inside her rectum. She is spayed so she is not in heat, but I was wondering if this has ever happened to your dog and if so what the vet told you it was? It does not seem life threatening or severe and it is not bothering her at all she just ignores it and licks it every now and then. If it gets any worse tonight i will have to take her to the vet during my lunch break tomorrow. Just curious if any one knows if it could be hemorrhoids?

So I have had hemorrhoids for awhile now. Generally they will just come for a few minutes after a BM and then come back in.
But now I have one that has been sticking out for 3 days. Is it never going to go back in? Do I need to go to a doctor? Is it normal to stay flared up for this long? Should I be worried?
Please help.

Hi, I have kind of an embarrassing question.. I know that rectal bleeding is not normal.. but for the past few months I’ve had it off and on (more off the on). When it happened, it would only last a day or so and only happen every time I had a bowl movement. I knew it wasn’t normal, but because it didn’t hurt and would go away I just dismissed it and tried to push the worry to the back of my mind.
This hasn’t happened to me in at least a month now, but yesterday I watched an episode of True Life in which the guy passed away from undetected hemorrhoids, or something of that nature. Now I’m worried and wondering if I should have went to the doctor back when this started happening.
I don’t know if I should call a doctor now, as it hasn’t occurred for over month. Am I just being paranoid? I looked it up on google and the tests for hemorrhoids looks painful to me..
I’m sorry if this thread contains TMI, but I’m worried and also embarrassed by this issue, so I was hoping maybe someone had had a similar problem or any advice to offer?

i have rectal bleeding and painful. I have had blood in my stool for 2 months now.My ESR and WBC are elevated, my hemoglobin is within normal though.doc put me on ANALPRAM coz i also have internal hemmorhoids and irritation in my anal canal…the pain is lesser now but the blood in my stool still there. I have normal and regular bowel movement but my bowel sounds are hyperactive. I have no abdominal pain thanks God. Solely a rectal pain. Im taking tylenol when pain kicks in usually at night. Im afraid to have colonoscopy im too young to have that. My doc did anoscopy and he found out internal hemorrhoids and irritation in my anal canal. Is it necessary to have colonoscopy at my age?.. pls somebody can help me what to do…

I’m a 15 year old male and I think I have hemorrhoids. I’ve had them before and it took a week for them to disappear. I’m currently on school holidays for two weeks and I want them to go away because they feel horrible! What is the quickest way to shrink hemorrhoids and get rid of them?
Does drinking water and increasing fibre help them go away? The holidays have just started and I want them to go away!
