I have a mild case as said by my doctor. However, the cream he gave me isn’t really working so, on average, how long would it take for hemorrhoids to go away if I use a stool softener?

Ok, so two weeks back I got a *AHEM* hemorrhoid with all the usual symptoms i.e very sore and annoying and a large-ish soft lump on the outside, and it even bled once. The pain has died away but now I am left with a hard, smaller bump where the softer painful one was and it doesn’t bother me, and I am wondering how long does it take to go away completely? Will the body absorb away the blood that is inside the thing on its’ own?
It may never go away? are you serious?!

How can I reduce my risk getting hemorrhoid? I’ve never had them but I am terribly afraid that I may get them during my pregnancy. I have hemorrhoids that I can feel on the outside. They did hurt and I have been using a hemorrhoid gel to relieve the pain. The pain is no longer there but I can still feel the swelling portion of the hemorrhoids when applying the cream. Will they go completely away??????

I have the beginnings of a hemorrhoid, so my doc gave me some Hydrocortisone suppositories. I’ve been using them for three nights now, and nothing seems to be happening. How long do I have to wait before the medication takes effect and my darn hemorrhoid goes away?
