Right now I regret having surgery it was probably the worst choice I ever made in my entire life. The pain from the Hemorrhoids were nothing compared to the pain after the surgery. My first advice if you have hemorrhoids refuse any surgery for as long as possible, or at least make sure you have 4-5 Weeks free after the surgery. (Also have a few people willing to cater you during this time) The pain is so severe I end up screaming bloody murder in my College Dorms bathroom. I have a half a mind to take about 5-6 Tylenol, and 5-6 Aleve at the same time to relieve pain, and if it kills me fine it is better than this horrible pain. So I am asking is there any concoction of Pain meds that won’t kill me, but will relieve pain considerably. Don’t worry about following dosage instructions just give me the Concoctions. I am only 19 years old, and should not have to be going through this. I missed out on Thanksgiving, because the pain was so bad.
Doc did prescribe a Pain Killer, but since it causes constipation and that just makes it 10x’s worse when i go. I had to choose Constipation and it causes more pain, or no constipation, and then the pain located there. Both Pains are unbearable, but the Constipation makes it just a little worse.
link to a site that has opinions of others, and what kind of pain is involved. Some mothers who gave birth naturally found the post op of this surgery to be 10x’s worse. Imagine that for a bit.

I was wondering how often hemorrhoids bleed or cause people problems. It seems like I get some bleeding for a few days, then it goes away and in about 2 or so months I get it again. I was just wondering if this was normal and how often other people have symptoms of hemorrhoids. I’m 20 and the doctor diagnosed me with them after the first time I got bleeding.

Could be colon cancer?
Note that the blood appears on the anus but not on the feces.
Also the hemorrhoids are not external (are not visible)

The pain is so excrutiating and terrifying. Its unlike anything I’ve ever imagined. I feel like I can go sometimes but when I try I feel like I am going to pass out from agony. What can I do to try to reduce this pain? My doctor is not giving me anything to help and the pain meds dont cut it.
P.S. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROCEDURE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO ANYONE!!!

This is embarassing, but I have been suffering with them for months. I’ve been using a generic ointment but all it does is ease pain. I need them to go away.

I’ve seen my doc, he’s sending me to a GI specialist on Thursday. May have a colonoscopy. I’m not sure what a blood clot is supposed to look like, but the blood on my stool is formed together and occaisionally when I wipe, a "clot" is there on the paper. I’ve bled from hemorroids for years, but these clots are new. I’m just hoping I don’t have anything worse than hemorroids.
I do have pain while having a bowel movement. I may have an anal fissure instead of hemorroids. But like I said, the clots are new.

Are there non-medicated ways to get rid of Hemorrhoids and Irritable Bowel Syndrome? Any natural methods that can be applied to cure them rather than taking meds all the time?

My poor girlfriend goes for long walks. During these walks she feels discomfort and itching. When she gets home there is blood in her underwear from what must be hemorrhoids. Is there a pad she can wear that will prevent the blood from soiling her? This is not a joke. Only adult replies are invited.

I think I have a hemorrhoid, but I’ve never had one before so I don’t know. Not to get gross, but it hurts when I make a bowel movement, but only right as it is exiting. It’s like a stinging sensation like there’s a cut or something. My bowel movements have been drier and harder than usual- guess b/c I haven’t had time to cook good meals, always eating on the go. Then when I wipe there is a small amount of bright red blood. Sometimes I’m a little itchy there too. There are no bumps or anything that I can see, so I guess it’s on the inside. Will prep H cure this and how long will it take? I’ve had symptoms for about a week now and just started using prep H yesterday.

I recently bought some Preparation H suppositories, will those things eventually get rid of the hemorrhoids or will it just make it smaller?

Can I use a needle to lance/pop a thrombosed external hemorrhoid myself? Or will the emergency room doctor do it? I am out of town so can’t see my family doctor and can’t wait until I go home next week.

Any outrageous ideas anyone? Doesnt matter if it sounds silly because my lecturer asks us to come up with something to test our creativity..
we are thinking of an ointment that when applied to hemorrhoids in piles diasease will cause the hemorrhoid to bleed and thus reduce the swelling..
the best that we can come up with is an antibody that will act against the hemorrhoid but that requires specificty.. HELP!

As of two days ago, I now have internal hemorrhoids with no symptoms others than protrusion when I "squeeze" (for lack of a better term). No bleeding, no discoloration, etc… Actually, no discomfort at all, until I try to use the bathroom… I was reading that "rue oil" may be effective at reducing the size? Has anyone used, or know anyone who has used this method? Any other options/personal knowledge on the issue? I am very young to be going through this (22) and if there is ANY known non-surgical way to decrease the size, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.

My dog has these bulging hemorrhoids on his butt. I did take him to the vet, and the vet said there is an 00 aprox. surgery he can do for him. I personally think my dog is too fragile for the surgery, and I don’t have a spare 8 grand laying around. Can I put hemorrhoid cream on his butt, to see if it helps at all. Has anyone tried this? Thanks :0)

My two options are injecting medicine into them or putting the little rubbers on them. Which one is more successful and less painful?
What do you recommend?
