I am about 3 months pregnant with my second child but with my first i did not experience hemorrhoids. When i went to the bathroom this morning to go #2 i guess… it hurt and I bled a little. Could it be hemorrhoids?

my mom had a hemorrhoid surgery like 3 weeks ago then 2 weeks ago she had a nother one because the docters left a gauze inside of her. Shes experiencing so much pain and theres no approvment. ITs been 2 weeks after her second surgery. Does anyone know how long recovery takes? And shes really nauses too. Is that normal or not? She takes hydrocodine for pain and she has no appetite at all what so ever. I feel really bad for her because she screams in pain and i cant bare to watch.

My husband has a hemmorhoid (External,i believe) and it has gotten a small slit in the middle that is bleeding. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow, but was wondering can anyone give me a good idea of what to expect there.Especially what kind of treatment we might be looking at. Also would surgery even have to be on the table right now, we really don’t want to do anything that extreme yet. Any Answers are appreciated.

I have had hemorrhoids for about 3 years off and on. I have used over the counter meds. My doctor has perscribed supporsitories and onintment when the over the counter no longer worked. My doctor thinks surgery is not needed at this time. Besides fiber and water which I know are importatnt is there are there any natural meds or any other treatments worth trying that won’t be a waste of money. I had a bowel movement this morning, and the toilet was COVERED in bright red blood. I am only 6 weeks pregnant and have never experienced hemorrhoids before. I thought that it was just a little bit of blood when you have hemorrhoids. Also, not severe pain, but a little uncomfortable. Could it be more serious? I have a call into my doctors and have not gotten a call back yet =/

what are the different symptoms of external hemorrhoids? if you have it… how did you know?

I’ve been using it for 3 or 4 day treatments once every couple of months.Doctor gave me some repeats& it works very well but every once in a while it comes back.so I’m wondering if long term use will cause other problems.

Even though I’m relatively young (25) and have not had babies yet, I’ve been having a problem with hemorrhoids for years. Recently the problem seems to have gotten worse; it’s now hard to go to the bathroom without some discomfort, and yesterday I saw some blood for the first time in a while.

My gynecologist said that there’s nothing anyone could do for the hemorrhoids, that even if I got them removed they would grow back. He said the best thing to do would be to wait till I’m finished having babies (because being pregnant will make them worse), then try getting them removed. But who knows when I’ll be finished having babies… in the meantime, I don’t want to be uncomfortable for another 10+ years!

What kind of doctor should I see for this problem? A general practitioner? Or a specialist? If a specialist, what kind?

As most pregnant women know this can be a common thing when pregnant I never had before I had my daughter two years ago I have had them a few times since. And I have them now at 38 weeks pregnant. Could I use a cream or ointment.

I’m having this argument with my girlfriend. She claims to have had hemorroids for most of her life. Don’t hemorrhoids only last for a short period of time or can they last years at a time?

I have a 1st stage Internal Hemorrhoid. It doesn’t bleed yet. I kept a healthy high-fiber diet and drink plenty of water for quite a time now. But still the hemorrhoid gets to me from time to time. So know I would like to get rid of them once and for all. The only problem is that I’m not sure about the consequences that the operation may have. My question is to those who have had such operation and what were the outcomes. Were you satisfied? Do you still have to keep up a certain diet? Does it bleed even after recovery? Does it hurt during constipation? Is there a sense of emptyness in the rectal area?

And most importantly I’m concerned about the day-to-day activities and sports. I myself like to be in an athletic shape so I train a lot(jumping, running, etc.) In general, What do you do now that you never done before the surgery?

One of my freshwater fish looks like he has hemorrhoids. There is a long white strand protruding from his anus. This happened once before, and I put "parasite clear" in the water. That cleared it up, but now about a month later he has it again. I did the same treatment, but it didn’t work. He’s swimming around and eating normally, but he has this tubular white piece of something hanging out of his butt. Any ideas on what this is or how to cure it?

I have just recently discovered a hemorrhoid and I am an 18 year old female that bathes regularly, do not engage in anal sex and never have constipation problems that would cause me to strain. The only thing recently that I can think of that might have caused it was from being sick but that sickness only lasted less than 24 hours. What is the most likely cause for this hemorrhoid then? Ok. I am 17. This may sound gross but that’s life. I havent go to the bathroom to do IT for like 4 days because i didnt have the natural urge. So this morning i tried and it just wont come out. I tried to strain a little but it just really wont come out because i can feel it was so hard.

So i give up and i ate papaya and lots of water and everything. On my third try on the bathroom it still wont come out but i managed to let out aa little. Just a little. Oh my God you cant imagine how hard it was and i was almost crying. WHen i got out i felt something on my anus. Could this be hemorrhage?

I’m planning to go to the doctor tomorrow. I didnt have the symptoms of hemorrhoid before such as bleeding, itching etc.

I’m just really worried about that something hanging in my anus

Are sitz baths really all that helpful?

On the one hand, a lot of sources say that sitz baths are really helpful and they recommend doing them 2-4 times daily. On the other hand, a lot of sources say that you shouldn’t sit on the toilet for too long because that put more pressure on the hemorrhoids. I’ve been doing the baths and the latter seems to be correct. I feel a lot more discomfort and the situation seems to be worsening. Am I doing anything wrong??

I’ve been having some bothersome symptoms lately. I’m 29 years old. I was just reading about the death of Joel Siegel. He died of colorectal cancer. So as I was reading about it, I found out the symptoms of colorectal cancer & I have actually been having several of these symptoms for some time now. Since the birth of my daughter early this year. Would it be really unlikely that I would have colorectal cancer? Like I said I’m 29 years old. These are the symptoms I’m having:
- chronic constipation
- a little bit of rectal bleeding (this doesn’t happen every day tho)
- pain during and after having a bm
- unexplainable fatigue & feeling of weakness despite me getting a full 8 hours of sleep & sometimes I even get more
Those are the recurring symptoms I’ve been having. Do you think it could be colorectal cancer? I’m hoping it’s just hemorrhoids as I also read from an article on webmd that hemorrhoids can also cause bleeding in the digestive tract & since I had baby not long ago…
